My passion for architecture began at the early age of 16. Originally, I took mechanical board drafting classes, followed by two years of basic residential architecture while in high school. After graduating, I enlisted in the United States Navy as a Machinist's Mate, serving aboard the USS Wainwright (CG-28) as a Third-Class Petty Officer. I received an honorable discharge in the summer of 1992 and returned to my hometown of Paris, Texas. There, I enrolled in Paris Junior College and earned an Associate of Applied Science degree specializing in mechanical design. I was introduced to AutoCAD while in college and studied schematic design, mechanical drafting, and architectural design over the next two years.

I relocated to Dallas, Texas, in 1996, where I began working on a contract basis in the commercial architecture community. Throughout my career, I have worked on an array of projects ranging from hospitality and retail to healthcare and government facilities. I relocated to Los Angeles, California, in 2000, and later returned to Dallas in 2005, continuing to work on various contract projects for the following four years. [1]

In 2009, I returned to college at Eastfield College in Dallas, where I studied Revit commercial architectural design, structural design, and SolidWorks mechanical design for a year. Learning Revit rekindled my passion, serving as the turning point that allowed me to advance my career as a 3D designer. Since then, I have worked on a wide array of projects spanning architectural, structural, MEP, and low-voltage disciplines. I began working as a BIM manager in 2019, and I remain driven to expand my expertise in building information modeling, coordination, and management.
